Rough idle and jerky acceleration – should I try injector cleaning first?
I've got a 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer that's been acting up lately, nothing crazy but enough to annoy me every time I'm sitting at a traffic light and feel the engine sort of hiccup or stumble. Acceleration from a stop also feels a bit jerky like it's not getting smooth power, but once I'm cruising it seems fine. I changed the spark plugs and air filter last month hoping that would fix it but no luck. A friend suggested it might be clogged injectors since I've never had them cleaned and the car has done about 130k km mostly on short city trips. I've been looking into an injector cleaning service Mussafah because I heard the ultrasonic method can really help without having to buy new injectors which are expensive. Has anyone here tried that and actually noticed a difference in how smooth the engine runs afterwards? Or am I just wasting money and should save up for a proper diagnostic instead? Really don't want to throw parts at it blindly.
